"Crawl from Texas was a completely unexpected highlight from my time in Austin during SXSW. I biked way out to Airport Road to see Olneyville Sound System (who were awesome!), introduced myself to Dan from the band who I’d previously met over email. He was like “Gotta go inside and check out this next set, I don’t know what it is but dude has a stack of amps.”
Crawl is a one-man epic sludge band from a nearby town in Texas. He plays a drum kit with one hand, and with the other controls a bass string instrument made out of actual bones, running out of aforementioned stack of amps. The live sound was superior to this demo but the demo is his only recording at the moment and it sounds pretty killer too."
